Real-time Blockchain Technology Study for
IoMT-Based Emergency Medical Services in SDN-based Network Environment
-
Sponsored Institution: Institute for Information & Communication Technology Planning & Evaluation
-
Task Period: 2024.04. ~ 2026.12.
-
Technical Field: Blockchain Platform Convergence - Blockchain Expansion Technology
-
Task Objective
Research on real-time blockchain technology for remote emergency medical services based on an IOMT (Internet of Medical Things) network environment using SDN (Software-Defined Networking) -
Laboratory Tasks & Details
Through SDN, traffic routing, bandwidth management, and security policies are set to manage each data transaction prioritized on a real-time basis using a Hyperledger blockchain (private blockchain). This enables the application layer to apply zero-knowledge proof in accordance with the European GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) to ensure privacy. The data of general and emergency patients are separately stored and monitored at the emergency center, allowing prioritized medical treatment for emergency patients.
